cities self-assessment safety survey & analysis tool
This tool enables cities to comprehensively assess their mobility systems and identify priority areas to enhance overall safety using the Safe System approach.
This operational tool applies the International Transport Forum (ITF) Safe System framework through a 140-question survey, allowing cities to perform a baseline self-assessment of their mobility systems. It supports local authorities in evaluating their territory’s current status in relation to road safety principles and practices. To process and interpret the substantial input, an Excel-based analysis tool has been developed, helping cities pinpoint key areas for improvement and advance toward safer, more sustainable urban mobility.
Cities that will use this tool:
All REALLOCATE cities and selected additional cities (i.e. Strasbourg).
